I'm having a hell of a time finding a tensioner..anyone have a good, economical source or do I have to make one?

Possibly a MeGuyVeer fix?:

The motocross bikes have that hard plastic chain guide over the swing arm. You can try a glue that will stick to that stuff, but are not most glue tube caps used with that kind of plastic that does not stick to the plastic anyway?

That means to rivet or machine screw them on like they do the swing arm mountings. Raber's in Calif. might have some in stock?

I guess I should specify I need a PRIMARY chain tensioner, but I believe the fix you described could be about the same.

Yes, I know the bike somewhat and who wears a groove out and such. :cheersmate: I'd find some hard rubber and bond it back on the old primary guide.

I reckon that's my next move. The only ones I've seen were $30+ on Ebay. No fuckin' way...

I may have a decent one laying around the shop. I'll look around tomorrow morning

This is the "shoe" that rubs on the primary chain?

The one that's supposed to have grooves worn into it for the side plates so that the chain rollers meet the surface of the shoe?

They grooves don't mean it's worn out, they mean it's run in.
