your not bothering me, I had some surgery on my arm and I can't work in the shop for a while anyway. ( it pisses off Ryan, Bob and Andy but Fuck those guys)
But here are some things about positive or negative ground.
History...for many years engineers thought less corrosion happened on positive charged points so they made the whole chassis positive ground, most early American cars were also positive ground.
Then everyone started to convert to negative ground but the British were the last to do this with their motorcycles until 1979 on Triumphs.
Advantages to changing it are minimal, the one big advantage to negative ground is you can go down to the local auto parts store and buy an off the shelf LED tail light. (that really helps with the total draw on the charging system and will never burn out,) but other than aftermarket polarity specific electrical products there is no real advantage to changing it.
If you are still running the original charging components like the Zenor diode you have to stay as a positive ground.
However if you change to a modern solid state charge unit like a Tympaininum or Podtronics unit to change it is really easy, the only thing different is how you connect the black and red wire coming out of your charge unit.
So go ahead and change it it is really no big deal if you are re-wiring the bike anyway.
