What do you guys use for tanks for xs 650s? I like the old school sporty tanks, but how well do they fit and how much modification is there to make it fit?

That is pretty much the only tank ever used...... Try xs650chopper.com they have a ton of builds on that site.

old mx tanks look good, penut tanks look great. Sporty tanks look okay, but everyboyd runs them. dont be afraid to try something differant.

sporty tanks seem to be the only thing I ever see on any bike, im guilty of it too though. I have a cool triumph-esq jawa tank im tryin to use on my xs.

Yamaha RD tanks look particulary cool as well if you are going for more of a cafe look. They have a squared off shape with knee indents.

I'm putting a Bantam tank on mine, I dig the double rib, they're a nice small yet proportionate tank and I don't reckon that I've seen it done before.

I'd have to agree that everyone uses Sporty tanks on their XS.

I have a mustang at home I'd like to run too, but it needs a slimming diet.

if you want to run one..you only have to cut and clean up where the stock tank mounts...
And we all know why guys who build an Xs uses a sportster tank....

I have the sporty tank and I like the look but will be changing to the king sporty tank as I don't like to stop at the gas staion and I like the bulky look of the king tank just my 2 cents.

All the tanks I see have only one petcock bung. Do I just put a splitter after the valve or what?
