in november, 2008, billdozer paid a visit to classic cycles inc. in orange, ca. he snagged this shot of my trump build and posted it in his blog (http://www.biltwellinc.com/index.php?link=http%3A%2F%2Fbiltwellok.blogspot.co m%2F2008%2F11%2Fclassic-cycles-inc.html).

by june, 2009, the mockup stage was completed and we were satisfied we could prep for final assembly.

over the first weekend in august, the frame arrives from T Markus Customs and immediately impresses everyone with the quality of the work.

The oil tank arrived with the frame. It quickly went on, followed by the gas tank a couple of weeks later.

it's a beautiful sight to behold when the motor goes in.

Another angle.

And finally, a closer look at the striping on the tank.

with any luck, you'll see this project completed in the weeks ahead.

What kind of springer is that? And what is the measurement from the axcel to the bottom of the fork. The bike is cool, like the color.

that's a flyrite shorty currently undergoing some cosmetic modifications. it's 17 1/2 inches from bottom of neck to rear rocker pivot.

thanks, man!

making more headway, although the fork may not be absolutely final. debating black vs. brown and black. thinking the rear legs should be the same color as the frame.

http://stephenlacy.net/tr6/images/090925/3367-560x420.jpg

the shiny head steady, hiding its light under a gas tank

http://stephenlacy.net/tr6/images/090909/hedStedy_3342.jpg

we always had black accents in mind

http://stephenlacy.net/tr6/images/090925/3362-560x420.jpg

working our way around to the view other traffic will get ;-)

strut and stripe detail

http://stephenlacy.net/tr6/images/090925/3368-560x420.jpg

molding and strut attachment detail

http://stephenlacy.net/tr6/images/090925/3364-560x420.jpg

and back around to the fork we're still pondering

http://stephenlacy.net/tr6/images/090925/3369-560x420.jpg

and the more i think about it, the more i think those rear legs need to be brown.

hope to post more progress after today's born free show (http://www.chopcult.com/forum/showthread.php?t=652) at classic cycles in orange, ca.

I'd say brown on the springer keep the flow of color going but that's just my 2 cents...Looks very clean and smooth though good job!

Looks better ..seeing it brown I think I would have done the whole springer legs in brown though maybe the lighter brown and darker used together and let the bars be the black that tied it all together ...That's what I saw when it was discussed first...... front legs the lighter and back legs the darker all the way to the end of the springer ...............But still looks alot better than black ...............I love how clean this bike is nothing showing very very nice....

Dude, I think I saw that guy in the blue dickies on the megan's law web site!!! I think he had not checked in with his P.O. for awhile and was on the run, also something about a reward for his capture. I would not let him near my bike, he looks like a creep.

here's something that's gonna come out from under wraps as we go along . . .

. . . a newby clutch and belt drive.

last time you saw the primary cover, it was just the way it left meriden -- everything tucked away and out of sight.

http://stephenlacy.net/tr6/images/091027/3391cover-560x420.jpg

here it is now, exposing the bob newby clutch.

http://stephenlacy.net/tr6/images/091027/3439-560x420.jpg

closeup of the pressure plate

http://stephenlacy.net/tr6/images/091027/3417-560x420.jpg

and a bit more of the interior visible looking toward the front

http://stephenlacy.net/tr6/images/091027/3415-560x420.jpg

the bike's on a lift. when it comes back down you'll see the treatment closer to reality.

Wait just a fucking second, how close behind me are you?
Steve, I started to spin some top secret stuff on the lathe tonight, hopefully I'll get it done this weekend!
Isn't it funny how the capital "I" and lower case "l"'s look exactly the same?
