Hey guys!

just to let you know you've also got some readers over here in berlin, germany, i'd like to show you my almost complete but in absolutely no way original rebuilt of an german horex, originally built in 1952!

well' got the oil-tank and the rear-fender painted, and some more enginework done...
the exhausts are almost done, just removed the exhaust tape which looked kinda- silver-graphite like, which i didn't like for real.

just to put some technical information right here, it's a one-cylinder, 400ccm engine, bore is about 74mm, stroke 91mm... rides kinda "shaky" if you know what i mean ;)
just got around 25ps in my version.. yes, that's not quite much, but as the bike is just about 160kg, that's enough to make some harley-drivers scream ;)

greets from germany, berlin,

hey guy's!

i'm very happy to read your interest in pictures ! as i've got absolutely no chance of getting it done as it's raining shit over here and my shop is much to small to work on the bike while it's inside, i'll just post some picures made last week.

well, the oiltank is made of an 2kg fire extinguisher with an 1 1/4 inch bow welded on. i also cutted the bottom away to make it a bit shorter (and welded an old piece of metal on which had major rust which makes the surface lookin not shiny and new). i also welded some M12 nuts with 12.5mm bore and a m14x1.5 (usual german oilpipe thread) cutted inside on it.
i think you're already loughing about that,.... as it's absolutely not necessary to explain YOU how to build funny oil-tanks! ;)

letting some pictures speak...

That frame is wild. Don't think I've seen a plunger frame that uses the motor as a stressed member. Nuts! Very cool though.

I was gonna say the same thing. Cool bike. Very different. Looks tight between the kicker and the left foot peg area. Guess it's only a issue if you got huge feet like me.

Hey Dudes,

sorry you didn't hear anything from me for a quite long time, - i just hadn't as much spare time as i would like to last months.
well, there IS progress, it's just kinda "slow". well you know what i mean - work and all the other stuff sucks a freakin amount of time.

so i'll just let the pictures speak.

please excuse the absolutely crappy picture quality, but i ain't got money to get a wide-angle lens for my nikon - so i'm using my phone.

it's been a while since i posted some pictures of the bike over here.

first of all: ist NOT BMW (i hate bmw's because of their motor design), it's a german HOREX.

and that's how it looks like at the moment:

greets from berlin, germany ;)

P.S.: it's still far from finished, as i'm not sure if i should put another of my tanks on it, or not, - and for this winter i'm thinking of putting enduro-tires on it!

if by video you mean footage showing me driving that thing, i've to answer no. if you mean a walkaround video of it the answer ist no, too. but there're a hand full of people hoping i'll make a video, so i'll do so as i got the time./ (i've not ridden it for 6 weeks for now, because there's absolutely no time :( )

but i can post more pictures if you're interested!

p.s.: that neat little thing did cost as much as i'd bought a shovelhead, by the way. 'been wrenching for the last 3 1/2 years on that thing, because when i bought it it was just a pile of junk waiting for someone putting love in it ;)

i'm quite busy at the moment, so i didn't get to the garage for six weeks now. goddamn i hate having no time to ride so much.
