Been looking for awhile for that right deal on a newer Triumph for a chopper build. Well low and behold saw a CL ad for a 04 Triumph Thruxton wrecked ...So I went to check it out it is a 05 . It has a broke front mount is the worst on the engine. Some parts are missing but on the whole it is a good start I think ....

Hopefully the mount is a reasonably easy fix because it looks like a sweet start. Looks like alot of work and alot of fun. Good luck!

going for a hardtail frame no rake or long front end probably very little stretch too..... going to try for a short compacted look ...$200.00 I just couldn't say no at that price....

Hell no man at 200 bucks it is a hard deal to turn down. Short and maneuverable is always my favorite despite an allegedly pink triumph I may or may not have posted lately. I love the new tiumphs and I'd love to do this myself so I'm stoked to see this come together from a wreck and the fix for the broken mount. Keep us updated.

Nice score man!
I was looking for about a year for my Triumph Legend, than found it for the right price about 3.5 hours away. You can always find it for the right price if your looking long enough.

yea it was one of those I want one but dont need one ....I knew someone would wreck one and let it go cheap enough just took patience...Think I am going to sell this cb750 project and use the money to get me a full hardtail frame from choppahead...

Then when I am done I will have a 61 pre unit a 70 unit and a 05 hardtail thruxton ...I would have covered the three engine types and that would make me pretty happy...

Yea I like them all the mounts should be sqaured away and no fitment needed to get the motor in ....
