unfotunatly I have no battle wound pics, but I can tell ya'll about them till I do.

Guy in a van blew a red and t-boned me at highway speed, broke my right femur, pelvis, humourus, right hand and a few ribs, but it was the brain bleed that put me out for about 5 days.

so I have 8 screws and a 6" plate in my humorus, a rod and 4 screws in my femur and a few more in my hip, spent a few months in the hospitol and about three more in a wheel chair, but I was riding brfore I could walk without the assistance of a cane

I'll post the pics when I find my camera

Are those staples? I have really come to like the staples better than plain stitches. Sad that I have an opinion.

Yep, it's a titanium ring. REALLY expensive to have removed and I'll be stuck with that scar forever.

This was my own dumbass fault...

But I still consider it a battle scar as I did it working on my bike...

was surfing on a big hollow day and fell pulling in, the wave picked my board up and tomahawked me with it. for some reason i don't really remember it hurting that bad. lots of blood tho, like a faucet off my chin. half hour after i got to er a guy came in with his entire cheek filleted from his fin. you could see right into his mouth and nasal cavity from the slice in his jawline. we became good friends while we waited 11 hours before we could get a plastic surgeon to show up on a friday. surf was real good that day. my luck, not so much. at the time all i had was a motorcycle. try putting a helmet on with half an ear. looks real good these day tho.

I was pounding out a peg at work with the hammer sideways when someone made a very loud noise behind me. Lost the nail and broke the bone lengthwise.

This was cutting sandpaper with an X-acto, pushing too hard, and slipped off the ruler.

First post here. What a way to start! This is one of MANY wounds (bike related) incurred during 56 years on Earth. And one not bike related.

Good to see that it appears as none of the ones shown kept you off the bike forever.
I've been riding 30 years now and have scared the living shit outta myself but have been super lucky and not gone down or been hit.
I did have a 1/2 ton truck smash my left side mirror into a million pieces and almost got cleaned up by the cop car chasing the truck but thats as close as I've been.
And yeah, I know it's not if, it's when.
Rubber side down.
