My friend just bought a new 2009 Bonneville and is wanting to do some mods but I'm having a hard time finding anything cool out there thats not a million dollars. Not looking to do anything crazy because it's his first bike but he is looking for some new slip ons to make it not sound like a scooter anymore. Any ideas? Thanks

your bars are 7/8 and they are weighted so if you change them and don't put some weight inside then they will vibrate .

I make parts for the new ones as for the carb retuning but that only depends if it is a carb model . And I have some other inexpensive bolt on parts for them comeing soon .

i thought the scrambler was the only model with 7/8" bars. the rest are 1".

I have a 06 Thruxton with stock 7/8 clip ons , 02 Bonnie with the stock 7/8 bars and a 09 t100 with 7/8 bars . I think only the Americana and Speedmaster ( both cruisers ) ran the 1" bars

My '05 Bonnie's stock bars were 1". I have 1" Norman Hyde M-bars now. BTW +1 on newbonneville.com. Brent is a great guy.

A couple years ago I read some guys had some bad experiences ordering through Bella Corse so I never ordering anything from them. Have you had any problems?

I crossed him off my list, but have to admit most folks are pleased.

I've bought from Bella Corse, New Bonneville and Triumph Performance (as well as a few others). Just to throw this out there, Mike from Bella Corse is a kick as guy as far as bending over backwards to help, taking calls and questions at odd hours from a guy drinking Crown and Coke, and doing what he can to make his customers happy. I'm not saying he's never screwed up, but that he's made it right every time it's happened (that'd be twice, both minor). For my money, I like to know who I'm buying from, so I prefer to stick with Bella Corse if they have what I need - even if it's a couple of dollars more.

So there.

It's probably worth having your buddy check in with the folks at http://www.triumphrat.net/ - good peeps. Pretty sure '09 is when they went to fuel injection (inside a fake carb). Triumph generally has a tune for their pipes the dealer can flash for you if you do an exhaust.

Not that it means much but my stock '04 Bonnie has 1" bars. I think that the scrambler and the SE bonnies are 7/8" bars.

I had a lot of good experience with Bella Course. I have to say that I order from both sites and both provide great customer service and good parts. I cannot complain.

As far as bars go...

All Scramblers are 7/8"
Thruxtons w/ carbs clip-ons are 7/8" ,
Thruxtons w/ EFI and factory m-bars are 1"
All Bonnevilles '01-'08 are 1" , '09+ Bonnie and SE are 7/8"
All T100's are 1"
