View Full Version : T-shirts???

Why do all of the bike/parts companies do almost all of their T-Shirts on black???????????

I want to get some Ts from Chop Cult and several other companies but it is too fucking hot to wear black. I want some on Ash Grey or White.

Easy answer, black outsells light colors three to one. Everytime we do Biltwell shirts in light colors (we get sick of black too!) they sit while the black sells.

Check out Wes White's Bonneville support shirts. He always does light or white since it's so hot on the salt.

Mike Malone said we are the black t-shirt generation. We all look the same with black t-shirts and sagging pants, he was right too.

r.i.p. rollo banks

Bill is absolutely right, any time we do a light shirt it tens to sell sluggish, put it on black and we blow through them. You have to make what people want!

because black is hardcore!

Black hides oil, grease and blood stains better.

Black hides oil, grease and blood stains better.

truth...i got a white hippy killer shirt and the first week got stains all over it, adds character i guess

I threw my white Keino shirt on the other day and it looked like I was rolling under the house for an hour.

I prefer the lighter colored shirts actually, then people can see what a greasy dirt bag I am. Nothing says unapproachable like a blood stain on a white hippy killer shirt!

Two of my favorite T's right now are from guys who replied on this thread ... Lowbrow logo shirt and Image One Logo shirt ... both printed on Army green. I'm completely done on black shirts but I guess the masses get what the masses want!

Yeah, I don't care if mine get stains or not. Just can't wear black shirts.

white makes me look fat. actually my fat makes me look fat but i just love black tees i have boxes of them.

I started wearing black when I was riding BMX for exactly the same reason. It hides dirt oil and blood better. My favorite shirt back in the day said Give blood, Ride BMX.

And also "cause the good guys wear white..."

I never saw Johnny Cash wearing anything else....

I dunno if you're interested, but i've been screwing around with the whole "monster" thing. I did this today just for some practice. If anyone is interested in anything like this let me know, it'll give me some work during the semester.

I'm partial to both, although when I buy white i usually buy 2...one for riding, and one for church and sunday dinners at grandmas!

I had to add an extra light in my closet because all the black tees were making it dark in there.

Purple is killer cause no one buys it cause they're afraid to look fruity and stuff.

Black makes me look thinner.
