Can anyone point me to this artist or any other artist with a similar style? Looking for someone particularly talented in this style of old school airbrushing, especially doing Frazetta style warriors, stars, orbs/planets, etc.

There is a whole genre of that stuff.... Look at vintage vans from the 1970s,
Boris Vallejo is probably the most well known, but there are others.
See: http://www.borisjulie.com/
I remember back in the day when that stuff was really common, and when the early Iron Maiden came out I was blown away by
Derek Riggs artwork.. See: http://www.derekriggs.com/
I was hardcore into the music scene and saw Maiden on many tours, One of their tour programs (Still have most all of them
as well as Sabbath, Judas Priest, Def Leppard, Scorpions, Van Halen etc... someday they might be worth something!)
But in one of the tour programs the band posed around somebodys car with some of that artwork on it, so of course I wanted th
same on my old hot rod (72 Nova)
Now, the Boris stuff is considered iconic and cool. I have an old Rainier Beer poster with similar artwork,,, It shows a monster Sasquatch
beast plowing thru a snow covered hillside where some leather covered badass with a huge ass sword is confronting the beast
and nearby is a curvy viking-amazon maiden with long blonde hair flowing with a tray of Rainier Beers and the title is
"Rainier Beer has the taste to sooth the savage beast!"
A lot of people freaked out over that poster which I stole at a Beer event in a local park circa 1979. I am thinking of framing it
This was before the Artesians advertising campaign.

I dont have a list of current artists,, I know a couple pinstripe guys locally, I know 2 artists locally who can and have done that style but
getting them to do anything in this lifetime is a monumental task....... Nature of the beast with artists and painters.

But,, you might try comic conventions as I have seen vendors who can do that work or network to find some. I was amazed when I attended several as I never have gone to a comic con, but thru my old job I got to attend free. Amazing amount of really hot women who like to dress up in wild outfits. But, yes,.........thats the type of place to find those kinds of artists.

I am also in stripper capital of the world, Not surprisingly many of them have tats.... One of my favorite local strippers is covered in Ink, and she makes a nice income also doing Tattoo conventions and trade shows.. I once attended one locally she comp'ed me a pass to.
Again, I imagine that is where you will also find artists who can do that style easily.

One of my other favorites is Giger, and I am looking to get some Bio-mechanical tattoo on my back and neck showing gears and mechanisms, Ill be hitting some shows this winter to find an artist-Tattoo person who can do the work, but again......... Many artists are here today and gone tomorrow so gotta be johnny on the spot.

A few painters use the transfer method, transferring the original paper image to the tank and painting around it. Chemical Candy Customs out of Texas has done a few tanks in this style.

There's a couple of dudes handpainting this type of stuff on motorcycle tanks. One of the better ones is Jon Raleigh ( xtyrestormx on Instagram ). Check his stuff out - one he did below, handpainted version of Frazetta original.

You need to find a hobbit, I hear they are quite good at these. I wish I could help, there were a few dudes in my old stomping grounds but I think they have all gone on to Valhalla by now.
