Long time lurker, first time poster.

I'm putting together a Shovel chop (might start a build thread). I've searched around the forum but wasn't able to find what I was looking for. If it's already out there, my bad...I'll take a link to a thread.

I'm looking to see if anyone has a plan or measurements for a 4 speed trans mount plate?

Didn't look too bad...plate with holes in it, quick job if I had measurements. Rather make my own shit than buy it if I can. If nothing comes through then yeah, I'll buy one or dig harder at the swap next month.

Nope not bad at all as long as you have a way to cut slots..... Time is money and it will take a lot of time to set it up... Also what years 4 speed are you talking about???? Early or later???? There is a difference.

It's a later style ratchet. Any thoughts?

Looks like a '76-'77...could be '78. I'm going by the casting number on the bottom of the case.

I'd personally suggest you purchase an adjustable one and save your time for the other multitude of annoying parts you're going to have to fab.

Black or chrome, much better at maintaining tension and alignment on later unlugged cases and especially if you're running an open primary.

Got ya...I might just do that and be done with it then. Should have dug harder at the swapmeet this weekend, I'm sure I passed a few up by not looking.
