I need a small 12v battery to run on my 12v generator setup on my pan.
Cycle Electric w/built in V. Reg.

I am not sure what the smallest size I can go with & not have problems with
the panhead Generator over charging (& BBQ'ing) the small Battery.

Any success stories out there? oh... And........

Forget Anti Gravity or any other Lithium Batteries:kill:

the total load on the system is 1 headlight (basic H4 lamp)
1 LED tit mouse tail light
& Electronic Ignition (quickstart 2000 guts in stock timer).

I was having trouble with the Toyota alternator in my Scout cooking batteries While I was waiting for a replacement Ballistic I stuck the battery out of a confuser UPS supply in just so I could ride a little and I'm still using it after either 3 or 4 years. It is a UB1245 it is 3.54L 2.76W and 3.98H AGM they cost $8 to$25. My bike has similar load to yours. I finally gave up on the other Scout and changed to this $12.00 battery last year throwing the Ballistic over my shoulder didn't make me feel any better about all I spent on fancy chemistries!

Tatoo my oil bag has no provisions for sinking a battery inside of it.
(no recess).

I may have to go with a lithium, since the only place I can fit a battery
is behind the oil bag, & there is not much there. about 2.250" which isn't much.
so Dusty's AGM would be too wide at 2.760"

Dusty, that's pretty fkn good, 3 or 4 years on an 8.00 battery. that's
better than my 3 months on that anti gravity 200.00 piece of rubbish

I was running a Mag on my Pan, so I took the OG oil tank and fill in the battery hole and gained about two more quarts of oil capacity...
But went back to a battery ignition ...
Needed to mount a battery back on it, but didn't want to change out the oil tank being I put so much work into it ..

What I did was to use a XLCH battery tray and made up mounts to weld on....
