I'm rebuilding my ts250 and the transmission and crankshaft bearings are pretty shot so I'm planning on replacing them. I found some rubber sealed bearings that are the right size but I'm worried that engine temp might melt the rubber seal. Will this be a problem or should I pay the extra money for the shielded bearings?

Don't just toss in bearings. Use the same style as original.

Visit vintage Jap forums for specific tips and parts sources. Also check Ebay.

Remember what gets lubed by the oil/gas mix! Seal off the wrong area and motor go bye-bye.
