Finished up my first set of bars from scratch and have them off to powder coat. I am still learning how to TIG weld. But I'm pretty happy with how they turned out and had some fairly presentable welds. Far from perfect but I'm getting there. Every project I'm getting more confident and a steadier hand.

I used a harbor freight pipe bender. I taped the ends/filled the 1" X .125" wall DOM with silica sand. I lined the pipe shoe with header wrap, then headed the bend as I bent it in the bender. It actually made a really nice bend and didn't kink it at all.

I took some 7/8"round bar. Took a grinder and shaved the end to fit inside the handle bars for my bar end mirrors.

Then I coped the pipes and welded them up. Suppose to have the bars back next week from powder coat. I'm going with Satin Metallic Gold for the bars. Its a bit of a gamble, hopefully it plays out in my favor.

I had to then head the bars to rock them forward, so I could see my tach.

I have about 11" of rise on the bars.

Those are pretty sweet bars.

I wish I coulda just pushed the easy button. But there isn't much available for risers less bars for metric bikes w/ 100 mm bolt centers. Plus I like to make things difficult for myself and I learned something.

Bars are back from powder coat. Went with Satin Metallic Gold. Everything lined up perfectly, I was even able to use my stock cables. Really happy with how they turned out. Now it just needs to stock raining so I can ride now that its back together.

Nice work! I know I wouldn't have thought to go with the gold color but it seems to work with the blue nicely, good call.
