Hello Cult!

I have been a lurker here for the past year and a half since I got a bug up my Ass to switch from off-road chops to bikes. I started with a CL find of a SR250. Start out small I figure. Hell, it was the first bike that I had ever ridden. After a few months after work, I was well on my way to a respectable street tracker/Moro/rat.

I even chopped the sides out of the tank as they were rotten and tapered them out, stripped and rusted the tank followed by a clear coated logo.

This spring I got distracted with a CB350 build that I saw here and decided to grab one up. I found a 72 for $167 on CL. The PO wanted $175 but that was all of the cash that that I had on hand. It got a little squirrely along the way but this is what I am riding now.

The poor SR was forgotten some where along the way so I decided that she needed a hardtail so I started chopping. This is where it ended up before the next distraction came along....

She should be a fun beat around town scooter after a 6" stretch and hardtail!

This is the next hacked up POS that followed me home. I'm a sucker for basket cases. At least I heard this one run before handing over the money:)

As soon as I got home, I stripped off the tank, clipons and cut the half Ass cafe attempt from the rear.

I then made some Monstercraft style seat stays and this is how she sits tonight.

I'm thinking that the seat position isn't going to work out well for my leg length so I am going to make new seat stays that follow the path of the Sporty tank that I ordered. That should set me up a few more inches. I will post up again once I get to that point next week.

BTW- This are Rebel 250 shocks on a XS650. I have read of mixed results but I'm too Fuckin cheap to buy Burlies.

My Sporty tank came in today so there was cutting and fitting. I also replaced the hydraulic tube seat stays with structural steel. The front is strapped down to mimmik -2" spacers up front.
