Hey fellas, glad to have finally joined the CHOPCULT! Looks like a mightly fine forum and website. A little about me, I work at G&L Choppers in Colorado Springs, CO. Rich Ford is the owner and I work 3 days/week. We build custom metric bikes, parts and frames/tails. MOST of our complete builds are XS650's.

I built my bike (1978 Yamaha XS650) over the past 2 years and have been riding it for the past 4 months. It won best in show at a big bike show here in Colorado and is featured in the SEPT. issue of The Horse. Thanks for checking it out and can't wait to see what this forum has to offer.

I also sell custom Biltwell helmets on the side. I do the gilding (gold, silver, and copper leaf) and a friend, Steve Havens, does all the pinstriping. here is my website: www.oldschoolhelmets.webs.com

peace,
Josh

Bike looks amazing, i just bought a '79 and lookin to put a springer front on it. Did you put a 1" neck on it or did you just do the taper bearing swap?

it is the stock neck with the tapered bearings and machined the locking nut down on the springer itself.

we could probably build you a tail for your KZ. We would need the frame of course.
