How's it going guys? So like 4 years ago, I was very active on here. I had a little 650 Boulevard that I turned into a bobber and stayed on here 24/7 basically. Well, life reared its ugly head and money got tight and I sold it. And now I'm back again.

Got this bike last weekend. Me and my dad drove about an hour through a hellacious thunderstorm to pick it up. Paid $3000 for it. it's an 05 with 9700 miles on the clock. Was originally gonna go with a new Iron 883, but my dad and my love for metric bikes talked me out of it.

To say the least, at this point, I'm not thrilled with the way it looks. Too much chrome and that stinger seat is a damn eyesore if I've ever seen one.

Anyway, my plans so far aren't anything major. Just make it better to look at without cutting it up like I did my previous bike. That means (for now) I'm keeping the rear fender.
So far I've ordered a set of Biltwell Keystone XL bars (because it's a wide bike and I don't feel like the regular Keystone's would look right.) Some OEM style 2" risers, eBay ftw. A Michelin Commander II tire for the front to match the back, and a stock custom seat, again, eBay ftw.

I'm also looking at some round clamp on 4" mirrors, floorboards and exhaust. Preferably the Thugstar Groundpounders even though I dread re-jetting. It also needs more black. ALOT MORE.

I'm open to ideas if y'all have any. Honestly, I'm just excited to be back on here again with a bike lol.

I don't really think it matches my style lol. Had my old lady snap a picture to see how dorky I looked after me and my dad got back from riding.

Had to let the prince grab the bars lol

Anyway, that's all for now. Hopefully I'll keep this thing updated. I'll start throwing stuff on next week when I get my parts in.

Rode up to Lynchburg, TN yesterday or as y'all might know it, the place where Jack Daniel's comes from. Pretty cool place. Walked around the town square I guess you'd call it. Ate BBQ, went in some leather shops, ate some more etc. Got rained on going up there and then got fucking SOAKED coming back. Got ready to leave and the damn bike didn't wanna crank. It finally did and then my speedo started cutting on and off. Got back home after surviving a damn torrential downpour and the battery cables were almost completely loose. Should've checked that shit before I left lol.

Anyway, got home and my seat had come in. It's still a tad bulky, but it feels and looks way better than the Corbin imho. Also did away with the AIS. At least halfway. I just routed the pump back into itself. Bike seems to run alot better now. My bars and helmet from Biltwell will be here tmrw. I've also got my tire waiting to be put on.

Congrats on getting back in the saddle.:cheersmate: Ditching that seat was the right thing to do; they're ugly as hell, but then, to each his own.

Got my bars put on today. Pretty fucking stoked. Took way too many pictures lol.

They came wrapped up all fancy which I thought was pretty cool.

Got the old bars and accessories off.

Everything fit back up pretty good except for the top cap for the brake reservoir/handle clamp. Had dad take the dremel to it while I did some other shit. And yes, those are fucking Crocs lol.

Everything was a really tight fit, I'm assuming because of the thickness of the powdercoat. The old bars had a hole in them for some little pin that's inside the right hand control box. I didn't drill a hole for it on the new bars. I'm thinking it's just a little extra way of holding it on there. Not positive. Let's find out at 70 mph lol.

Anyway, here she is. Still not finished, but it's a little more my style at least.

With my cheap ass China made risers. 👍

Got my helmet too. A little bulky, but hey, at least maybe it'll keep my skull in tact should I wreck.

Ordered a clamp on mirror the other day from Amazon. Company is called Mr. Lucky's if anybody wants one or two of them. Quality is really nice. Unfortunately, again, I had to take the dremel to part of the clamp. Biltwell must spray that powder coat on thick as hell. It's a cool little mirror though and it cleans up the look around the bars quite a bit.
