03 1100. bought it for the motor. was an insurance write-off. turns out the engine fits a virago frame, but the output shaft is out board about 2 inches more. too much effort to make it fit, so changed the plan.

craigslist parts to get it through provincial inspection.

i just beat the tank with a rubber mallet. one side ended up looking better that the other. made tons of mistakes on the one side, didnt do the same on the other. soft rubber mallet and light hits worked best.

For a hammered dish tank, those lines are CLEAN! Good job I swore you did the old cut flip and weld trick, but if it's hammered that's awesome

Nice work on that tank bro. That looks real clean.

thanks. not that clean, but it is bare steel, then clear coated. can really tell when looking at it in person. i just "rusted' the metal before the clear.

Black dual sports would be badass

I agree. White walls probably wouldn't go with the style well

Unless you deliberately "age" the white walls and make em fit the rest of the build....think it would look too clean otherwise

After a quick search of the net for "rat bike white walls" I have changed my mind. I actually think it looks pretty cool. Has that old hot rodder feel.
Actually thinking maybe I will give it a go too lol!
