Depends:

1. With a SS carb, you will get the worse gas mileage

2, With a CV carb, better mileage than a SS

3. FI will give you the best mileage

The nice thing about Sporty tanks is they are easy to swap.

If your new tank doesn't give you the range you want for some rides you can always buy a larger tank and switch 'em out in a few minutes.

LOL Yep..... Get about 6 different color tanks and fenders and change them back and forth.... Then people would think you have more than one bike.....

I average right at 47 mpg on my 1200. Sometimes it will be a little higher, little lower. So mid 60's I would say, just to be safe. Trouble with those Frisco tanks is because of the petcock location you loose any reserve. A fuel sling is probably a good idea

Bingo my XL1200S will go about 65-70 before I run out and that's 1.9 gallon. CV carb with performance kit.

I have one of those tanks and I can go just a hair over 100 miles on the highway. Thats about 65mph. CV carb. Why are you getting 30mpg??
