Trying to find out what this yellow wire is and I can not locate it on the wiring diagram I have?? Any ideas anyone?
Been looking for over an hour with no luck.
I can't tell what it goes to, it seems to have a make shift 'lip stick' lid over a male prong?

Think about it this way, Is everything working? Then who cares?
Only Yellow wires in that diagram are part of your charging and ignition system. So, if it runs and is charging, re-cap or eliminate it.

Here's a shot in the dark, someone wanted to power the fan or something and ran it straight off the batt. Borrowed this connector from a junk pile and now its your head scratcher.

its clearly an addon, maybe an alarm kit or direct power to something. feel free to remove it..

honestly its not much work to add it again if its needed. Bike wiring is a relaxing and rewarding passtime that brings great pleasure to its doer.

infact, feel free to remove any wires you dont recognise, it only adds to the joy of being able to fix it later.

I recently rewired my 94 vlx. It seems there was some kind of plug with a cap that I had no idea what it did. Hell I honestly had no idea what I was doing. But i wsnt through the whole harness and removed everything except the main shit that's in the chopped wiring diagram. It was my first rewire of any bike and it was like seeing my baby being born when I hit the button and it fired up.
