Hey guys.
Im redoing this 98 sporty & things were going well until this.
Getting the motor back in the frame I knicked something on the top mount..
Saw a piece of something go flying 100 mph but couldnt tell what.

When I was putting the throttle cable back in I found out what I fucked up.
Its this plastic tab that pushes a thin rod down into the bowl when the throttle turns.
So what do I do now? Can I replace this or do I need a whole fuggin carb?
& if anyone knows what carb this is that would be awesome too..bike is a hardtail all redone so might not be original carb.

Thanks a shit ton in advance, Im so bummed on this..dont know what to do now.
almost got away & completed this build without spending a dime :(

Found out its called "pump lever"
looks like I might have mikuni hsr

Can't tell for sure from the photos, but it looks to me like a Mikuni Flatslide. Being that it is an evo, they bolt right on (and were/ are (?) sold by the factory as a "performance replacement" carb. If it is indeed a mikuni, it should be pretty easy to find parts for. Either check with Mikuni themselves, or talk to them at SUDCO. Also, the tab is for the accelerator pump. It presses down on the rod, which pushes down a plunger sending fuel through some passages then squirting it into the throat.

Ok found it from sudco & jetsrus.
But can I take it apart to replace it?
Anyone done this?

I've never done it on a Mikuni, but it should be no problem. Carbs can be intimidating until you really tear into one for the first time, but once you do, you see how simple they are, more or less. Order the part, get a good exploded diagram of your carb online, and cut loose.
