Picked up a 00 marauder about a month ago. Haven't done much to it but swapped out the pullbacks for risers and z bars and got rid of the plastic front fender. Lookin for some inspo or ideas for this thing.
I know I wanna get it lower and do something about the seat, maybe dissect, shave the foam, and recover.
Anyway, as soon as I figure out how to add pictures with my phone I will.

I just got my 99 marauder back on the road after a face lift. I'm liking the way it feels and I think I'll be putting a jockey shift on it soon as well. One of the challenges that makes it fun is there aren't a lot of aftermarket options, so besides bars most things need to be modded for the bike. Have fun with it.

God looking bike man.
Like the stance.
What shocks are you using?
I'm tempted to do struts on mine.

I just picked up a pair of cheap no name 11" shocks to try. I'm trying to figure out if I want the shocks or if I will put on some 9.5 to 10" struts.

Yeah I've got some 9.5 inch struts on my kz that I've been thinking about swapping over.
They should drop it way down.
At least 3 inches I would think.

Yeah it will. With the 11" shocks I have on there now my seat height is only 23" high. I figure with the struts it would be close to 20".

Nice bike Gnarad. Had a question about the forks. Did you find forks with a compatible stem or did you modify it, and what size tire is on the front.

Is that the m50 marauder?
Been wondering if the spoked wheels from those would be a direct swap over.

Boulevards and Intruders are basically the same as the marauder. Check out this thread with a butt load of pics. Including a few I've built. http://www.chopcult.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31122&highlight=intruders

Yup. Two wheels and handle bars. When A guy at work bruaght in a 2011 street glide that looked excactly like mine, I knew I had to do something about that. Now it looks like every other bike on the road.
When I rejetted my friends 1987 intruder, under the "hood", looked exactly the same as far as carburation. and his was 16 yrs older. The marauder was just a shelf bike. But I love it. easy to work on(once you get the gd tank off)
The mig forum is a good source for knowledge, but the site is a pain in the ass to post pictures.

Thanks arcldvr. No I couldn't find the right races conversion kit. Mikes xs was only real lead I had on finding the rite kit. I'm considering making my own trees. I have a access to a CNC table. I'm running the stock 21" front rim. looking at coker tires so when I get the tire I will make up my trees for a narrow front end with minimal clearance to the tire. front tire on it now is an avon 80/90-21 did the whites myself

A pic of the other side. Still looking for a cheap rear fender, hoping to make a luggage rack and small sissy bar too.

I went to princess auto and picked up a heavy gage trailer fender and took a good inch out of the center cost 38 bucks

I'm normally not a fan of the trailer fenders, but that looks pretty nice since you tweaked it and got it to hug that tire. Ideally I'd like something the same size as the front fender, but steel instead of plastic.

its hard to see I wish I had a better pic but before I got the trailer fender the I modified my front fender and put it on the rear. it worked out pretty good.

I ended up going today and picking up an old front fender from a cb900. Now I just gotta figure out how to mount it. And I agree, the front fender fits the rear very well.
