Winter time in New England can get us riders to do some crazy stuff. This year I took the idea of building a bobber (bobbah with our accent up here) to an actual reality

I bought a running, clean titled 81 CB750 for $700.... My plans were/are to strip in down, go with a hard tail frame extension. Make it sorta like a rat roddish bobber. Coming up with ideas as I go, and "borrowing" ideas from fellow members here....thank you in advance

Here's some pictures of the tear down.....

Stripped the paint from the frame....no intentions of painting it at this time

Cleaned the engine, primed and painted it with High Temp....Tank color is still up in the air

Last night I made a bracket and mounted the headlight. Lowered the front end an inch and a half, frame bottom is almost level

Seeing how it's literally 3 miles from my house, I suppose I should go, LOL....Maybe I'll get one of my Harley buddies to drive my Busa over there too

Looks to me like a voodoo vintage

He says he got it from Cycle One so I'd assume it's a Cycle One tail.

Correct....Called Kate over at CycleOne, walked me thru the process since this is my first attempt....extremely helpful and the extension fit perfectly

UPDATE -

I'm at the point where I am undertaking making a wiring harness for the bike. I've seen some wiring diagrams floating around here, I'm looking to run minimum accessories - headlight and taillight only basically. Has anyone made a wiring harness specifically for the 81 CB 750? - Any specific wiring diagram better suited for my application

I'm also going to be running the individual cones air cleaners. I'm figuring that I'll need to re-jett the carbs, and I'd rather do it sooner than later. Which ones should I use? Once again, anyone have any suggestions?

Updated pictures soon

Thank you

Houlie
