I'm currently bobbing a 1983 v65 magna and am planning on reusing as many parts as I can because of cost and some of them are just plain hard to find. The brake and clutch master cylinders could probably use rebuilding but the kits are $23 or more a piece. I've seen universal hand controls with master cylinders for $45 a pair on ebay. The compatibility list say they'll work on a v45 but the v65 isn't on the list. My question is are v45 and v65 master cylinders the same so that I could use the universal controls and has anybody else bought universal controls and had good luck with them? Thanks

Probably will work. Also when I had my magna I would be all over those rebuild kits. Get a sight lens kit, paint em and ya got new stuff. But then again thats just my too sense.

You can pick up a nice gsxr cbr r1/6 master cylinder with a remote reservoir for cheap on ebay. may have to get a different banjo bolt but thats no biggie. I would avoid the chinese cheapos

Hi, I've lurking around for a while. I have a V65 that I'm rebuilding now and I use those same clutch and brake MC on it and they work and look good.
