I have a fully functional Death Star. Not Complete but streetable.
2006 V Star 1100
Stripped and Bobbed.
Suicide Clutch With Tank Shift.
Riding on the Dark Side

Short Mod List
Rear Flat Trailer Fender (Swing arm mounted so it is not hard tail)
Spring Seat
Plate Side mount.
Custom Tail Light
Foot Clutch
Shillelagh Tank Shifter
Relocated starter and choke. Cleaned up bars.
Stripped everything I could from Front end.
Most bits and attachments are fabbed up with angle grinder, hammer and vice. (Don't have welder yet)
Rattle Bombed in Primer for now

I have under $250 in the build so far.

Still need bars and to figure out final paint scheme.

Didn't take a whole lot of pics of the build process but Ill put up what I got.

What I started with

57648

Shifter and Clutch.
Yes the Shifter is Wood. I needed strong and light weight so could attach direct without any linkage.
My Irish Blackthorn Shillelagh aka Fighting Stick seemed appropriate.

57649

Tail Light made from old pressure gauge and bits from stock light.

57650
57651

As it Rides Now.

57652

It is a work in progress but I am happy with how it is coming out so far.

Looking good. Creative choice for the jockey shift.

Thanks.
Shift throw is a little bit long but not excessive. This is my first try at jockey shift. Definitely different than what I'm used to but loads of fun to ride!!

Hey man looking good so far! I had a couple questions if you find time to reply. for your spring seat, did you bolt those on to the cross bar directly? i'm really trying to avoid a BCB seat, but i'm not sure what mounting hardware to use, as this would be my first time doing a spring seat. Also, your fork tub covers. did you cut them off or take off the whole front end to remove them?

Would love to see any updates. I am also curious as to what you plan to do with the floorboards.

Looking good bud!!

Would you care to elaborate on how you set up your jockey shift, or message me? I'm getting my Custom back on the road as we speak, think I'm going to Jockey shift it. I think I have it figured out, but always welcome more information and different setups so I can make mine work as well as possible.

I appreciate it!!
