yo, I just bought some headers from Tj Brutal and they will fit either 1.5" or 1.75" exhaust tubing. My plan is to do a 2-1 exhaust with a Cone Engineering muffler that has a 2" inlet. I will need to find a merge collector after I can decide which tubing diameter to use.

My thoughts were:
1. 1.75" tubing for less raspiness and deeper sound.
2. 1.5" tubing because the baby vlx motor needs smaller tubes (backpressure, gas velocity or whatever)

Any insight to help me? I am currently jetted for a velocity stack and short open pipes.

Yo I live in metric land but I used 1 5/8 pipe so what ever that is in inches I dunno....
With no baffles it's loud as faaaark (for me anyways) but sounds boss.
but because of shitty laws when trying to get a custom bike on the road you kinda don't want to attract any unwanted attention to your self....... so I'm running 4" baffles. Quiet when at
Idle but still sounds good under throttle.

Average photo of them

Best thing I have found for figuring out exhaust dimensions, etc. is the tool on this link: http://www.mez.co.uk/mezporting/exhaust_length.html

Thanks for the direction, I was afraid I was overthinking the whole thing. I'm going with 1.75" instead of the 1.5" because I was told the small diameter sound was higher pitched and raspy, which is whack to me. I'll adjust the jetting if I have too.
