View Full Version : What do you clean your bike with??

If you even bother...hahaha. Mine hasn't seen any type of cleaning for a while now. I usually clean it over the winter and that's it. Or, when I find and oil leak I'll wipe it off with a towel, or a T-shirt...whatever's laying around. When I DO clean it, all I need is a towel, a bottle of windex and a scouring pad (For the whitewalls).

I've wiped some oil off of mine this summer once or twice, I thinks that's about all of the cleaning it has gotten, except maybe when I get caught out in the rain.

I wash the bike once a mouth when it's my shower day. So what ever you do don't come rolling by my shop that day cause you will see me and my bike in the drive covered with suds and it not a pretty sight!!!

at the end of winter to take off all the road salt. and at the begining of winter to rust protect a bit - but other than that.... whats this cleaning you speak of?

car wash once every 3 or 4 months. Gets pretty bad riding on gravel after it rains lol.

If I really want to clean something, like for taking pictures, I will do it with garden hose and bucket or car wash stuff. Armor all and such to what needs it afterward.

What do I use to clean my bike? My son mostly, since my wife won't clean it anymore. Something about never taking her for a ride on it...
