Extended the line of the back bone,, which makes the seat area a sensible size and leaves room for for more choice about what tank you use and how you mount it.

+2 i just hope it doesnt leave too much of an open area under the seat, but it does make a good difference in the lines

blackjack this is looking good mate. I found with my stock XS frame and a biltwell seat bracket, mounting on the stock backbone is nearly too far forward (with 3 inches of stretch)

What stretch have you got with this frame?

I think it was 4".

The axle plates were designed so that if you attached them to the end of a stock swing arm, given the average length of the slot on most arms, the front of the slot in the plate would be 4" back of the stock one.

It ought to be 4". Then again the plates have been through a lot of iterations since the original version in 91.

That has 1 1/2" stretch, but has the seat rail meeting the backbone. The seat rail length turned out to be a piss poor choice as it had a natural frequency that was a harmonic of the motors vibes at WFO.

Gave me a numb ass for a couple of years until the seat rails finally cracked and the light dawned.

Ha!

That's funny man. Place where I got my workshop? Seems like the Drug Squad is in and out of there about every two months busting the next bunch of entrepreneurs that set up a pot farm.

that looks sweet...extending the backbone really brings the proportions in tune. It's amzing how just a little more here or a little less there changes the look of the entire bike.
