Hey guys, first time poster here but long time watcher. I'll be posting up updates of my progress of turning my XL1200s into something that isn't stock. It already runs and ride great but like most people, I like to play and make shit and I'm normally not happy with stock bikes and parts. It wont be hardtailed or drastically modified like most of the awesome bikes on here but it will be changed to suit my preferences and due to the low number of these bikes around I thought you'll be interested in what happens. I'm down in New Zealand so getting access to all the great US parts is hard, shipping tends to be the same as the value of the parts so making stuff here is cheaper, faster and more fun. The bike scene here is great and growing, mostly with Jap bikes but there are a bunch of guys who have some cool old shovels.

Being a XL120S, it has the adjustable suspension, better cams, higher comp, twin spark and twin disk brakes. Gotta love the pull from 4k on!

Here is my other bike for those who are interested, she's a '84 R65LS.

Now it has a new Sullys seat, new intake, drag pipes, standard mid controls, a complete fluid change and front turn signals.

Nice Bike! I miss my 1200S . Awesome bikes man. Do you know if the PO swapped out the wheels? I thought they all came with mags.
But I could be wrong about that. I love the floating rotors on the late nineties models. keep posting progress pics.

Looks good, I love my S model! A 2-1 really makes it come alive btw... I dig the R65 too, been trying to get my hands on an airhead for a bit now.
