I am just curious on the weight of a wet (all fluids in it) sporty 1200?

I have dreams of a 100HP bike to be made out of my 833 sitting in the garage and i am just seeing what id be getting into.. i get in trouble on my bikes :o

Mine weighed in at 440 lbs. on a truck scale a couple of years ago when I weighed it.

Buells weight 375(ish) lbs from factory. At best you could get the sportster down to 400 lbs or so? Switch out to some lighter buell rims, magnesium rotors, and aluminum everywhere you could safely put it.

I'd say mine is closer to 430 lbs. since the truck scales go in 20 lb. increments and it teetered back and forth a bit between the two. The lightest Sporty that I actually know of was down to 411, and that was with lightweight spoked wheels and mostly aluminum components. It's a pretty good chunk of weight removed considering a stock rigid mount Sporty is right at or just above 500 lbs. The tube frame Buells were around 440 lbs. and the XB's were about 395 lbs. from the factory.

I have some Buell stuff for sale, if interested.
