View Full Version : Removing/Rebuilding the Starter Clutch on an 81' CB750

Branching this off from another thread...


I'm going off of this walk through (http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=122084.0) for a CB550 and for the most part it seems identical.


I now have the clutch basket off and am trying to figure out what to do with the primary shaft, considering it doesn't look exactly the same as the cb550 setup.



Here is the current state of the right side (clutch basket side):

I don't see the 2 bolt bracket holding the primary shaft in that he shows:

I'm trying to figure if I should from here be able to tap the primary shaft out as the owner of the cb550 does? Or maybe there's a bracket that I'm just not seeing?



Someone in the comments mentioned the possibility of there being a 'primary chain tensioner '. Is that something I should be worried about?
