I had one of these and was pretty pleased with it for the cost.

How were you able to mount it? I have a 76 ironhead with a swingarm

i believe those are meant to be for a hardtail frame, but most of the ones that are made to fit between the engine and shock will have slots in them to secure to the frame rail that goes vertical right there. this will interfere with passenger pegs btw. ive been looking into what i could do but nothing that big will work with passenger pegs on my stock sportster frame

No I had mine on my swingarm 76 Ironhead I had. Not sure how the powers that be are about linking sites but there are a ton of pics and guys running these on swingarm sporties on xlforum under Don's Cycleware vendor section. I mounted mine by cutting an extra slit or two where I needed in the back and used strong zip ties. I'm actually gonna order another one for my 02 I think. Strapping everything down is starting to blow.

Sweet I just ordered one, got scared for a minute cause I saw how old his forum posts were that said he stopped making em. Just got a shipping confirmation though. I can make it work somehow, bag was cheap as shit too as far as bags go...

My only question is, will it hold a six pack? Haha

Yeah I have had excellent customer service from Don's everytime and the products are killer for the price. Mine held a 6 pack but I think I had to break them out of the rings.

Yeah I ended up ordering another one for my EVO. It's my daily ride to work and I was getting tired of strapping my lunch down. Glad I could help you out. Here is mine when I first slapped it on. I lowered it down a lot after this pic.
