Checking the listings at a random time of day on my phone between running errands on my bicycle. I see an intriguing ad, notice it's in my city, decide to call the guy on a chance.

He picks up and gives me his address...turns out it's a mile down the street on my ride home...cool, I may as well...

20 minutes pass, and I have a titled, registered 1987 Virago for $200.

I got it running and riding a day after bringing it home. Barely needed any real work.

The destiny deals are out there guys.

Nice they come up from time to time you have to camp that shit, or they are gone in the blink of an eye, like they never even existed.

Agreed. I was doin one of those random phone craigslist checks. One caught my eye. So i called. He was asking $400 if i recall. I called, he picked up, I offered him $300 sight unseen if i picked it up that day. Before dark i had an all original 100% complete '73 CB750. Good shit.

I loaded up a titled 79 DOHC CB750 and a titled 1992 Ninja 250 in my pickup last night.

Grand total of $300 for the two bikes and a truckload of parts.

About a year ago I scored two identical '82 XT550's (minus the wheels for the second) also for $200. Completel library of parts, we're talking stock airboxes and everything, all for $200. I love this type of stuff, wish it happened more often.
