This was my first total rebuild. Its an old 1950 FN single. This is when I had hardly any nice tools. No welder, torch, lathe, none of that good shit that makes bike building easier...

Wow! Your bike looks great. When I first read FN I immediately thought of the firearms manufacture, apparently they produced motorcycles as well, learn something new everyday.

they still make firearms today but the motorcycle division shut down a long time ago.
did you know indian copied FN's four cylinder design?

and here in belgium i have barely seen one. seems they've all disappeared.

I realize they are still making guns, I'm all about the 5&7. I didn't know FN the same FN that makes guns made motorcycles.

sort of like BSA, who started as gunmakers too
i wonder how a bike made by smith&wesson would have looked like?
