got it for 500$

took to to laughlin from vegas and had a small problem

re built the motor, sleaves, pistons, valves. all the good stuff . put a free sporty tank on it.

its a fun fast bike. i have hit maybe 120 but its a bit sketchy

damn I didn't even notice those pipes at first glance. Alot of the 4-1's I ve seen doods rockin on kzs's kinda go under the engine and out the side. I like how those whos just go around to the side and under the forward controls. Those would def be the kind of pipes I would want for my bike.

i seriously re jetted the carbs around 6 times. my dad made the seat in 92 and took it to a marine shop to have the leather put on it. and last but not least the goddamn pipes are vance and hines. they don't quite fit under the controls so i had to mod all that shit to make it work.

god i love kzs....i always wanted a 1000..but i am happy with my 650....what ever you do dont go to kzrider.com and tell them you chopped a kz 1000..they will shit a brick nice folks but they deal out a lot shit on chopping and bobbing ..wait it would be funny to do that ..haha..anywho love the bike you gonna hardtail it or keep it soft?

Well, first let me say that I, am on KZR. And yes, some folks there will give you shit. What forum doesn't. It is a KZ site, not so much a chop site. Lots of knowledge there if you are having any issues. Great resource. Anyway, I actually like the first pic better. Just my opinion. Maybe stretch out that swing arm. I can't say that sporty tank really does it justice, frame bars are hangin out. Looking forward to a finished chop.

my dad and i are working on a Suzuki gs1000 that has a +10 swing arm. its going to be a good time.

i am gong to keep it soft., my other bike is a hardtail.

two years later its still a daily runner. took it to slab last year. maybe ill take it this year too.
