I moved the post here....

A buddy& I are planning on leaving cold Denver behind for the weekend and hang in the Santa Ana/San Clemente area. We're planning on entering our bikes in the Mooneyes Christmas show& drag and the David Mann chopperfest.

Who's all planning on going? Any of you wanting to have a group ride to these shows? We're gonna try to get there early to enter.

Also, I'm contemplating maybe crashing somewhere up near Ventura cnty Sat night, because I just remembered the street chopper pre party up there.

Thanks!

I guess I would have to roll up the 5 and meet you in Downey and we head up from there. I'll ask my buddy which way he needs to go since he'll be coming from San Clemente. he might not even want to go as early as me.

" PLEASE COME EARLY TO GUARANTEE A PARKING SPACEPreregistration does not guarantee a parking space. Although we do have reserved sections for the car show entries, all parking is based on a first come, first served basis. Please arrive early to secure a parking space.Gate opens by 6AM.Parking is managed by Irwindale Speedway. Once the parking lot is declared full, the gate will be closed and no vehicles will be permitted into the parking area until an official confirms an open space. MOONEYES does not have any control over the parking situation. We apologize for the trouble and any inconvenience this may cause. Please Note:THE PARKING LOT WAS OVER CAPACITY LAST YEAR BY 7:30AM. "

I'm sure they're taking about mostly cars, but I just wanna make sure my bike is parked where all the bikes were last year, as I'm not gonna park my bike a mile away like our rental car last year.

what time would you suggest? . I just dont want to get turned away when I show up to park due to crowds, ya know?

I'll be at mooneyes and chopperfest. I am working saturday night clowning a hells belles burlesque show, so I will miss the street chopper party, but I can't complain about my job and I will still be riding to both shows. Riding from Eagle Rock / Glassell

Here's my bike:

I'm planning on rolling up early to the Mooneyes show, possibly meeting up with Erickl1986 in Downey. Lemme know if you'll make it up.

Is anyone riding out to Mooneyes in the morning from the Silverlake/Highland Park/Eagle Rock area?

PCH is longer. Not a lot, but at least 45 minutes. The difference is, the freeway sucks balls, the coast is scenic as warm pussy. Splitting lanes in Tarzana is sketchy, there's always eternal construction on the 405 Sepulveda "Cluster Fuck" Pass, but if speed is your preference stick to the freeways.

As for how many riders we gather? Usually between a solid 20-40. In warmer months that number jumps higher, our biggest was 75, but there's no chance that many hardcore bikers are going to get up that early and don le' chaps during this So Cal Blizzard!!!!!

Free shop rags for all riders while supplies last. This is the last rag for the year folks...
