Time to jump in the fray.
Here's my first build - a 1982 KZ750 twin...

After I took the tank off, stood back and gulped at the monstrosity of the Kwacker frame I almost cacked out of working on it.... Jjjjeeeeeshus it's an ugly bastard and the engine looks like R2D2. I almost sold it and went looking for the ubiquitous XS650 - being a complete newby, the XS is tried and tested with lots of reference and aftermarket sources... the KZTwin on the other hand is a rare beast and I couldn't find anything to compare to... only KawiDave's shit-hot burnt out hardtail http://www.chopcult.com/KawiDave/

But, like my old man says, "time to shit or get off the pot!".

I flip-flopped between hardtail and softy for weeks, but as the trump is a real hard tail I decided to get on the 'bratty chop' bus.

How it was then.
It had been built as a kind of tracker. But pretty roughly. Had a wooden indicator button... yeah wood.

How it is now.

Times is tight at the moment and I decided this thing was going to be made, as far as possible, from anything I had laying about and to incorporate as much of the original frame material as I could. So far I've used nearly all the stuff I cut out.

You can check out the build on my blog (http://dyslexsickle.blogspot.com/) But I'll be documenting it here too when I get 5...
Cheers. Aaron.

Looking goood Aaron! I have one of those KZ750 twins though mine is pretty much stock. Great motor. Mine sat all winter in the carport. Fired up the other day on the second kick.

Tidy, these are one of the few other jap parallel twins that I'd like to build a chopper from one day, but they're rare as shit over here in Australia.

Thanks VJ. Motor is truly bulletproof and goes like stink.. Next up is a rewire so lets hope it fires up again after that!

Rare as Scottish virgins over here too Philbey. I think this is one of the last surviving in the UK, according to the geezer I had it from... Here's how it stands after today's session.... How's the XS going fella?!

There's a forum called "The Lonesome Twin" for those Z750 twins.

I know it's not what you're doing, but this might interest you too..

It came with the front end. Plastic, sport bike, and broken, are but three of the things that are up with it.

haha alfonso I just checked the local ebay and there's on for sale.... hmm.

XS is going alright, just no updates on my thread. Made a dirty mount for my headlight and I'm working on my dummy oil tank at the moment..... And trying not to mess it up! I'll get some more work on the frame soon and get a couple of pics through!!

Ahhh! No way. Buy it. I might need to score some parts from you!

Great sites Blackjack. Yours in particular. Wish I could work out how you made that pipe bender... You lost me on scythes! Also good to see you're mig welding your frame... was starting to get a bit worried about migging mine with all this super high art tig going about.

Hey Alfonso, sweet bike. I'm doing a build pretty similar. What front end is that? I llike the dual disk set up and it looks like it bolts on pretty easy. Also how much did you extend your swing Arm?

Thanks man
