Does anyone on here know that axle size on the front wheel of a 1980 XS650? I am wanting to run a 21" dirtibke whele on my xs and I am pretty sure they are both 3/4 axle size! so hopefully only spacers will have to be made to fit good! Anyone have experience with this or has tried/done it?

good chance your going to have to swap out wheel bearings. 17mm I.D. X whatever O.D. Your local auto parts store should carry them

if that doesnt work then find somebody who will turn an axle for ya

i was gonna do that on an old kz that i had, and i think the front axle was a 17mm. i tried to find bearings to switch out the wheel, but couldn't. i went to a company that does nothing but sell bearings, and they said they couldn't make them for a price that would work for me. i just bought a front end on ebay for 30 bucks and swapped 'em out. it ended up being cheaper in the long run.

I slapped my spare 05 Honda 250f front on my 78xs. Machined some spacers on the lathe and all works
