So I've been building late 60's early 70's Honda cafe racers for the last three years and could finally buy my first Harley to build on . So I still have a shit ton to do but her she is in all her glory . Let me know what you think . Adding a p-pad and passenger pegs for the wife . Would love to do a Springer front end , and those bars are changing real soon .

Classic. Nice to see a clean, well proportioned Sportster build that doesn't have to rely on over used " look at me" styling gimmicks.

I wouldn't change a thing. Looks great. Any pics of the way the license plate is mounted next to the battery box.

Why are you changing the bars ? The only thing I would maybe do is narrow them up a bit but that's just nitpicking. I think it looks great like it is. Very clean.

14" apes.... :P

Been running 14" for years for comfort.

Front Street Cycle make some very nice stainless apes custom bent to your specs. I have one set of 14s (awaiting installation) and ordered another with integral risers. The welded-on risers will solve the "bars can shift when pushing the bike" problem. The first pair will get TIG-tacked to the bottom parts of my Biltwell risers before they go on a different bike. (If the bars ever get bent I'll cut them off and mill off the tack welds.)

Thanks for the advice and kind words . I just didn't ever liked the bars so I've been thinking of running some Biltwell's H-Bars . Cant wait to get it back from re-jetting and ride the shit out of her.

So until I have the cash for new bars I cut mine down , and dam do they feel better . I have also done a coil & key ignition relocation to clean it up a little bit . I'll post pics in a few .

Very clean. Only thing I'd even consider changing is the rear fender support. Other than that you got the look.

I put a round oil tank on my sportster and unfortunately I didn't take a before picture. Now I have 4 hoses and only 3 input/outputs on the tank and I don't know which goes where. Can someone help me out with this? Thanks!

Don't know how to help you without being there , all I can say is grab a manual and start identifying what oil line is what .

rear section looks much better with the P-pad. Not a fan of the flat fenders with nothing on them. Those Zephyr bars should look nice too.

Mike--

Who was your supplier for the p-pad? I like that profile. I don't like "flat" pads.

typically, the p-pad is mounted the other way around. Give it a shot, might look nice. I gotta admit, i like your old pipes better. not so much the wrap but i dig shot guns and yours had a nice bend in the middle. The paugchos look nice though. That new tank will look killer too. This is really turning into a cool bike with each new mod. Keep it up!

BHMike

My old lady doesn't like sliding into me with the p-pad mounted the traditional way , so I flipped it . Fuck traditional anyway . I like the look of the shootguns but on long rides I've been getting tired of my leg on fire . I can't wait for the new tank to be on , just waiting on top hat bungs to come in so I can mount it , then have my buddy come over and paint it .

Don't know what lever it is , just an eBay find . As for the pipes , they will sit with a bunch of other parts until I sell or reuse . Make an offer and there yours . Thanks , I digging how she's turning out . Feels a little more like my bike now .
