Is 14 gauge ok for battery positive and negative? I cant seem to find any 12 gauge anywhere. Im using 16 gauge for everything else.

By the way, xs650 with not too much for loads. Headlight, tail light, kick only, hhb and pamco, ignition switch, brake switch, kill switch. Thats it!

Yeah I figured i could get 12 gauge online but was hoping to get the wiring done tomorrow. I have plenty of 14 gauge at home. If 14 is ok, ill just use that.

Depends on the amp rating on your battery. 12 ga is good up to 41 amps 16 ga is good up to 32 amps.

Oh yeah, you were asking for 14 ga not 16ga. 14 ga is good for 32 amps... sorry about that lots going on today.

Yeah Amps are battery type and brand specific, they are all over the place in ratings... so there's not a standard amp to just say yeah go for it unless you have some fat wire to use.

Did you try looking at Lowe's or Home Depot in the electrical section? I get a lot of my wire there. Or auto stores should have terminal wires, but you might have to change the connector.

Yeah home depot and lowes didnt have any. I actually just found some 12 gauge in a different auto parts store that i rarely go to.

So ill be using the 12 for the battery and 14 for everything else. Should be good to go now.
