View Full Version : Pamco Wiring Diagram

Whats up guys getting ready to rewire my bike.. Its a 80 xs650 with factory TCI.. I ordered the pamco kit from Mikesxs, just wondering what I keep from my factory wiring and ignition? Im only running the ignition, headlight, and taillight. anyone have a diagram maybe?

i used the pamco too, simple and easy to use. had one problem with it though, the little magnets fell out on it once. i just used a punch and pinched them in. on the wiring part i wired my bike up myself with a sparks alt. i only run what you want to so it might be easier for you to ditch the harness and start from scratch.

thanks Matt.. but im still confused do I need my rectifier still? or any other pieces from the factory system?

yeah you still need to use one, i cant remember which one to use for what year. the rec i use came with my sparx system. try one of the xs650 forums i know its on there. anything engine,carb,electical that you need is on them.

Rectifier is for the charging system. Should only need 3 wires to run that system. Hot, Ground, and Signal (green)

Thanks Punkskalar.. so I guess my question is what all do I need from my factory charging system? im trying to get rid of anything i can..

Mike, you'll need to keep the finned regulator. You can wire it directly to the alternator, and you'll need a ground, and a switched source going to the brown wire if I remember correctly.
