Been building this little gem for my wife. It was her first bike, and endured a rather rough life, including being a make shift dirtbike quite often.... Thought you guys might enjoy this one, it should be done VERY soon...

Nah, what you see is what you get.... The tag will hang off the back of the seat though

Im doing the seat on my cb750 similar to that. Im just worried about the abuse the carbs/electronics will take without some type of protection. Probably overthinking it.

Update:

Got the Kickstarter to work! But, here is the side cover I removed the Honda Logo from. I want people to wonder WTF this thing is :smokin:

http://i178.photobucket.com/albums/w264/punkskalar/Courtneys%20Rebel/100_4566.jpg

Deleting the Starter is not 100% done yet, still have some welding to do on the cover, Here you can see the stock cover with the starter boss, and the modded cover with it removed.

In the last pic, you can see the kick shaft sticking out. Had to make the shaft, bushings, and do lots of welding work to the back of the cover to make everything stay in place.

Cut new sprockets for the kick-start. Its at a 1:1.7 ratio now, plenty easy to kick since it is a 250, but enough to spin the motor over as well...:smokin:

Oh yeah, its a left side Kick, and you fold the kick over, and kick it forward... Totally weird and people are gonna wonder what the hell is going on with that lever :smokin:

Had some folks wanting to see the frame work. The seat is actually raised a bit from where the stock rebel seat sits. All the unpainted tubework is new, replaced, changed, etc...

Gonna finish this before the deadline tonight for the Feb contest?

Nah, I didn't really care to enter it "officially"...

I need some time to get it all done. Not alot though, paint, wiring, tank coating, and some small details and we are there...

Thanks for the contest though, some kick ass bikes in there...

It's a sweet build, no question. The lines are clean and the tank style is perfect for the scale of thing.

Is the tranny shaft the one below the kick shaft?

great work, great pics, awesome job! She must be stoked. My wife wants to start riding but I'm having a hard time convincing her to start off on a smaller bike. She's crazy... but that's why I love her.

Dude, let me tell ya, this thing may be small, but packs a punch. It hauled my 190 LB ass up to over 100 MPH last week on I-40, then I went to the Mtns and tossed it through the twisties.. Im 6' tall and it fits me a bit tight, but was a blast to beat around on... The wife is alot less aggressive of a rider than I am, so its in good hands most of the time...

Got bored today, went into the shop and drug this bike out of the back corner, fired her up and took it for a spin. Little bikes are soo much fun... Hrmmm... What to build next?

I just looked at this again too get some more ideas for the Rebel I got. So sweet. I totally dig the kickstart conversion, and that it kicks forward like an old 3 wheeler a friend had. Wish I had a fraction of your talent. Hopefully I get better after I waste more material.

And in that first picture you look like the comedian David Cross.
