this bike was listed on CL about 6-7 months ago in the tulsa area...didn't have the funds to get my hands on it...probably wouldn't of done much to it.
all original 56 triumph, just rolled out of storage.

Heel yeah man I agree, theres even running bikes everywhere that are good candidates for this kinda thing. I am not a huge stocker but I know better than to ruin something

That guy had no idea what he had! Just the parts in original condition are worth a grip! He just fucked up a nice bike beyond repair. All I would of done to it is put the correct fender light & lic plate holder on there and change the seat!

7 months ago or so it was going for $5600...but i'm sure this dude traded something plus cash for it.
now he's asking $3000 for it...ridiculous.
i freaked when he sent me the original photo and got really excited then wanted to scream when he sent me the photos of the current screwed up state that it's in now...
some people are just idiots man.

if i could've got my hands on it the most i would've done was change the seat and new tires...get it running strong...and i would've been good to go!

Not sure how that was a stock 56 Triumph . It did have way more potentail then what he did ! But that is far from a stock 56 Triumph . The front and rear fender are off different models , I have no idea what is going on with the seat , And the headlight just doen't seem right .

oh - hey - check out the bucket in the second pic. He must've washed it using that. Yep, that explains it.

The headlight should look like this.

everything's transient
fuck that dude and fuck you too -- it probably would've burned up in your garage after you died anyway

Enjoy what you have and have what you enjoy. If you're so pissed go track down another 56 or buy this PoS off that methclown dude who fucked it all up

guys..........like trumpnut stated, that thing was NOT a stock bike. It was an abortion of mixed up years. Check the unit frontend!

X2,

I could see the bitching if this thing was showroom, but it looks like its had its full 53 years of people fucking it up before Crackhead Bob ever got a hold of it...

Even if it wasn't stock, or if it was a collection of different years, the bike still looked nice and was in way better shape before the chop shop abortion.
i'm not a triumph guy, but i can appreciate what it was, and what it could have been.

it was advertised as an original triumph when it was first on CL 7 months ago..i'm no trump genius but i do appreciate the info from trumpnut and bluecollarmoto...
anyways, it is what it is...i made him an offer just to see if he'd go for it...hopefully i might get it out of his hands.
we'll see.

It doesn't really look like he fucked it up . I mean it is still a stock swing arm frame, oil tank and gas tank . And it does look like a 500 front brake ( 7" )
If you are not a Triumph guy Pre units are what not to start with ! They are awesome but do take over your spare time , garage and soul . I have about 7 of them in variuos states and Look At Wes White of Four Aces He always has them . Somthing about them will take you over . Just a warning !

whatever it was, it wasn't worth $5600... or $3000 for that matter.

This bike had/has potentetial to be a real classy looking sled. In it's pre abortion state that color was horrible on it (looked like 70's Honda orange). Post abortion, well someone has just got to man up and get this bike away from this fool. With very little work this could be a total head turner. But right now it's as appealing as potato salad in the sun all day.
