HAHA, Cali dudes get their fair share of chill factor ONCE in a while, I checked the temp after riding to work the other day, and this is what I got:

....and me and a few dudes put in about 180 miles for a little weekend lunch run in about 30 degrees for the majority of the day...I aint complaining though!!!

I must insist that you stop denigrating California when you go on your half-assed short rides.

You ride in 27 degree weather and you're bundled up like an arctic scientist pulling core samples.

It gets in the 30's here and we ride in jeans, open face helmet, and a leather jacket because we're tougher than Johnny Cash's pill habit.

back in the early 70's, everyday I rode my motorcycle 23 miles back and forth to Ft Monmouth New Jersey because that's all I had.

in the winter, there was snow on the roads and I had to be in formation at 0700.

It was no fun freezing my ass off and crashing at every one of those fucking traffic circles.

Motorcycle riding should be fun. To me, it ain't fun when it's fucking ass cold and you crash a lot.

you can live and ride where ever you want,

I choose to live in So Cal, because I have more fun here.

May not be as cold as the rest of you but DAMN Phoenix was cold today. Specialy when the great ball of fire set round 5:20ish. Me an a pal went to are favorite taco spot & had 4 tacos w/tecates(4 each) then went to four peaks brewery & had a couple more. Good day to start the new year. Hope all you have a better than last year!

They're used for flat track racing on ice. I've never done it but it's a blast just to watch these crazy-ass merfs.

I spent one December in Milwaukee riding to work because the car blew up and I had no other way to get to work. I wore a military parka with the drawstring on the hood cinched so tight all you could see was sunglasses. Looking back, I should probably have bought a full face helmet, but at the time I was 25 years old and completely indestructible. Or stupid. Okay... stupid is more like it.

I knew there'd be some butt hurt Cali doods. ;)

Another four years and I'll no longer be living in this shit. But for now, we'll ride when we can.

And I wasn't all THAT bundled up. T-shirt, sweatshirt, leather. And hey, if you want to be "comfy" and be a fair weather rider, that's cool, I can dig it. The world needs pussies. ;)

I ride nearly every day in PA as long as the roads are dry in the winter. I won't try to sound tough though, I bundle up until I look like the little brother in A Christmas Story.

Under 10 degrees is when it starts sucking.

Same here. What sucks for me is I work 2nd shift. Just about every road I ride to and from work is not lit, so avoiding black ice is nearly impossible. So once the roads are wet I'm pretty much done riding at Midnight. But as long as the roads are pretty much dry, I don't care about temps, I'm riding.

Why? In 4 years you can collect social security and move to Florida?

Your California envy is showing. Plus you ride new-ass modern bikes. That's about as comfy as you can get... Knowing your shit is reliable is a pretty big pussy move.

Social security in 4 years? I wouldn't hang your hat on it! Riding in the cold may someday be a necessity, get your mad max gear ready!

California pussy here. I wear long johns and get bundled up for my quick jaunt down town for bike night when it is in the 50s. I try to toughen up, but I fuckin hate being cold.

ANY Honda motorcycle is modern using my guidelines.

And if your modern bike isn't running, that's on you and your skills.

Sorry that our weather is so badass, that the worst of it is a dream day for you.

OUCH. And here I thought we were buddies. :cheersmate:

Ya well, it's running again (for now), I just have to keep fixing all the shit people did (or didn't) do, before me. But I ripped it up the street yesterday after having the Honda out.

I guess shrinking your dick is a step towards growing a vagina.
