Looking for a 39mm lowering kit for my FXDL front end. I'm leaning toward a progressive brand kit, but just found this one. Any experience?

Not sure of the Brand, but the kit looks the same as the progressive and Burly (non drop in kits).

Your front end is already lowered from the MO. CO. You are better off modifying the guts you already have in there. It's real easy. Also, what have you done with the rear ride height? Any lower than stock and you will likely need to bend your kickstand.

Absolutely correct, but progressive will be a huge improvement over stock, and it can still drop about an inch with this kit. Throw in some heavy weight fork oil and progressives on the rear and POW! Kickstand should be fine. I have gone 2" in the front and 11" in the rear with a stock lean on the kickstand on Dynas and Sportsters.

No no, it's a dyna front end on a rigid frame. Kickstand is fine, already cut it down and bent it out.

Can anyone help me out with the lowering? I cut out an inch off the top of each spring but still need 1"-1.5" more. I don't want to be all bouncy going over bumps.

It's not a drop in kit....those small top out springs go on the damper rods, preventing the fork from extending all the way up, thus lowering it...

I gave some examples on my blog how to drop a stock front end using stock parts. I dropped it 4.500 inches no need to cut your springs here is the link hope it helps. Done it many times with good results.
