I couldn't find any that are like the ones in the pic. Deadbeat had the Biltwell ones don't have the same pull back angle as in the pic. Mercurymoto doesn't seem to have a website. I think these have to be one off 's

Looks like I'm gonna have to. Ha. I had to ask first. If someone made those exact bars, I'd support them. But since they don't I gotta be like a lot of you guys, and make my own

Did you seriously miss Rene's (Mercurymoto) post? They can make the to order. Ugh, I wish more people knew how to read or pay attention.

We were talking about making these bars and my initial thought was to get some threaded bungs and weld them in, but now that I'm thinking more about it, if we had enough wall thickness, couldn't we just tap & thread the tubing itself?

Besides figuring out the mounting part - I'm looking at 2 45 cuts and a fishmouthed piece of tube to tie it all together.

Yeah, I read it. I'm just gonna have to come up with the dimensions, before I do anything.

Yeah, I read it. I'm just gonna have to come up with the dimensions, before I do anything.

6" rise, if the top were one solid piece, it would be a 90 degree angle exactly, and like baelzbub said, the bars consist of 45 degree cuts for the handles and down tubes (The part that mounts to the trees) and a center tube to tie it together with fishmouth cuts(Coped) to fit between the bars. If you want the same pull back, weld up a piece of roundstock to your riser bar section, then going from parallel with each other, turn each part 45 degrees out, because if the top were one welded piece, it would form a 90 degree angle. The cut to fit to match your hand controls (Throttle, grips, etc.). These bars are pretty simple.

Flattrack,

That steel place I told you about is only open on Friday (the only day I have to work this week) because of Christmas, so I'll probably be rolling up there after the new year. I say we just grab a bunch of scrap DOM, go to town with a bunch of different designs and figure out a final design. I know you had a couple different versions of these bars in your head. If angled bars are what you're after, between me an T, we can get this done. We're going to need his grinders and stuff to make the bars look "pretty". LOL

I'd be interested to check out some of the local chromers too, cuz if we do these and I fab up my "tiller" bars along with my yard stick sissy bar , maybe we can get a decent price.

Depending on the trees, I dont know if you could get a bolt big enough through the holes in the tree to thread into the end of the tubing. The threaded bungs add thickness and make the hardware more managable I feel like.

Yeah... my initial thoughts aren't jiving with reality (happens to me alot)... either I make the bars out of solid tube  and drill & tap the bottoms... which really just becomes a really big threaded bung... or just stop trying to complicate stuff and pick up a set of bungs.

Thanks for setting me straight!

if you need mounting bungs I have killer mounting bungs that are made to fit inside of .120 wall 1" tubing which is what I make all my bars out of
they are 304 stainless
they save a lot of time from drilling and tapping the bottoms of solid round stock

and they look awesome they have a nice tapered look to them and fit inside of the OEM harley trees just perfect

pm me if your interested
you can see pics of them on my riserless bars on my website at www.syndicatechoppers.com
just click the blog link on the right then go through some of the older posts on there and check out my riserless bars

When a large number of your posts end with a comment implying everyone else's inferiority people tend to have that reaction. ;) Sad part is that your need to be acknowledged is so driving that you posted up just to say you're mad no one patted you on the back.

So, way to go bucko. Nice work. Good job. Thanks for the post.
