Hello, i am looking for the basics to start a custom project.. I am reletivley new to the custom bike world but not to bikes, ive been working on and racing dirt scooters for many years now and ive hung around shops and given a hand as much as i can. so excuse my stupidity. I bought a 04 1200xl sporty two years ago and i have done your basic weekend warrior mods but its time for something more. with the local shop onboard they have agreed to assist in the build but before i go forward im looking for insight on what to look for or what to excpect. over all the project consisted of replanting my evo into a ridgid, chaindrive, shaved forks ect... if there is anything it is apreciated thanks in advance. Pete

The search will be your best friend. Anything your curious about just punch into the search. With that bike its hard to find something that hasn't been covered
