Just thought I'd share since I'm assuming no one has had experience with the Spitfire spool hub or lacing them. Here's mine...

I considered other hubs but I got a pretty good deal that came with a set of spokes. They shipped it super fast also.

I've laced a bike wheel once before but that's the extent of my knowledge in that area. It took me a few tries, different approach such as top spokes first, then lowers, one side first, then the other... The challenge was getting the last bit of spokes around the ones already installed. 4 hours later, I decided to lace both sides, top and bottom at the same time until I got all the way around to the last spoke. I didn't have to force any spokes and it seems to just fall within the correct hole which I distanced 4 in between. (Hope that makes sense).

Prior to my final attempt, I did it 3 holes in between and ended up having too much spoke sticking out from the back of the nipple. So I redid it and it literally took me about 30 minutes at that point.

I'm extremely happy with the result. I even attempted to true it last night using a couple jack stands (pic 3) which I think worked great. I clamped a ruler to the stand and positioned one end to barely touch the rim. Spun the wheel around and adjusted left or right side as necessary until the ruler and the rim gap is consistent. Did this on both sides a few times. Just need to grind down and smooth out the excess spokes from the back of the nipple and will be mounting the tire soon after.

Anyway, just thought I'd share. I was intimidated to tackle this project. But if I can do it, anybody can do it. :)
