I have leather grips on mine.

Anvil Customs made them. They are really just a stack of leather "washers" that were stacked and then glued on to throttle tubes, then turned on a lathe to round them. They look great but they are a bit slick, so it's good to wear gloves for better grip.

I debated for a while; I almost used leather tape, the stuff used for tennis rackets and hockey sticks. Seriously, it makes sense and looks good if you put it on right. Plus, it's not expensive.

Yeah! They came out with the metal flake grips right after I put the leather ones on mine. I woulda used those had I not already got the leather ones. Good choice.

I made my grips with an old leather belt. Just had to get heavy duty needle and thread. This is a video.....

Funny . Would be nice to know what size drill bit , needle , thickness of leather rope and belt width used . Not into using on grips but for upper forks of a wide glide above the gators.

5/64 drill bit.
Needle part #10249763.
I did not get the part number off the thread. I went off what I thought might work for me.
Leather belt was 1 1/4 in wide and length was measured off the actual bar and throttle sleeve. Had a difference of 1/16.
Hope this helped.
