I'm in the market for a fun toy. I love the old home built mini's and pitbikes look fun. But what do you guys fool around on for fun? Sometimes I feel like just dorkin around, riding trails, and catching a bit of air. I need something I can huck in the bed of my truck and go fuck it up....lol

Everywhere I look it seems there are those Chinese mx bikes. Probably wouldn't last long with me. What do you fella's rock?

Those SSR pitbikes are supposed to be decent for about $600 shipped.

I'm building one right now. Basically stock frame, swing arm and front end with a 140cc Pitster Pro engine. Should be pretty fun.

I just acquired a 140cc Pitster Pro X5. They are fast as hell...I ordered mine with street tires and plan on using it as a Swap Meet transport. Like you said, just having fun and ripping around the neighborhood. I want to unleash my machinist friend on it and make some beefier parts. It definitely feels like a toy.

I had one of them chinese dirtbikes.. it was a lifan 100 trailbike.. I had it for 2 weeks (was used when i got it) and always had problems switching to 3rd gear.. finally.. one night... i was going about 40 mph up my street when i heard BANG and hot oil got all over my right pant leg... not sure what the hell cracked the crankcase open but it sure made a big hole and locked that back tire up before i even knew what was going on. I skidded that pile of crap right up to my driveway from a block away like a badass, got off of it, and grabs a wrench to start tearing spare parts off of it. Was a fun 2 weeks but i would never buy one of them things brand new :D

I have a mid-70's Trailhorse minibike that has been completely refurbished. It looks brand new and hauls balls. Needs a throttle assembly and carb cleaned but I love it. I'm selling it since my kid has a PW50 and I don't play with it as much as it deserves.

i picked my kart up for cheap. didn't want to mess with alky, so i put a gas clone on it. i've got the alky briggs in the garage, and i'll unload it if you're looking for a good motor, if you're close. shipping wouldn't be worth it. i've put some work into the motor, and i painted the body. it's a work in progress.

i've got a chinese quad that i got for cheap, and i love it. it's worth every bit of what i gave for it, and i beat on it pretty hard.

i'm always in the market for toys. i want to get an older lawn tractor to turn into a trail rider, and i'm looking at a chinese quad with no motor for my kids. the guys asking 60 for it, and i will put a 6.5 clone on it if i pick it up. could be kinda fun.

I like the Yamaha Zuma 50cc two stroke scooter.

It's fun for late night runs into the city. With a pipe, throttle mod, a carb rejett and some mods to the CVT, I've got it to where it'll run 45mph and get there pretty quick (for what it is). People report 70mph with a big bore kit and different gearing.
